Why I Started Trailblaze Paints
Hi, my name is Jack Magee, and I founded Trailblaze Paints in February 2020. Starting a company right as the world was shutting down wasn't easy, but I had a clear mission: to build a painting business that stood out by putting people first and never compromising on integrity.
Before starting Trailblaze, I worked in the industry and saw too many customers get let down by poor service, inconsistent work, and communication that disappeared the moment the deposit cleared. I believed there had to be a better way. I wanted to create a company that combined premium craftsmanship with honest communication and genuine care — one that would restore trust in an industry that too often leaves people frustrated.
So, in the middle of all that uncertainty, Trailblaze Paints was born. I focused on quality over quantity, invested in the right people, and built our reputation one job at a time through word-of-mouth and 5-star reviews. Today, I'm proud to say Trailblaze Paints is Mooresville's #1 rated painting company and one of the most trusted names across the Lake Norman area.
